3 steps to perfect metering system

Mavacon Power Metering provides unlimited scalability and adaptability, fully focused on the needs of your environment application that delivers real value for your energy-optimized system processes.

The 3-step model enables transparent cost calculations for the customer, and shows which areas interfaces, to your own resources, are possible or necessary.

Step 1 Sensor installation

Regardless of the system which is appropriate for your installation, you can choose between two installation variants.

Variant 1 Installation by a certified Mavacon technician

A specially for sensor technology trained installer comes to you and analyze your electrical system. The expert compares inventory and documentation and installs the sensor technology in order to achieve a highly relevant measuring. Our technicians advise you on site and show you which measurements are meaningful and which irrelevant. So just as many sensors are installed as necessary to obtain a comprehensive overview of the location.

Variant 2 Installation via telephone support by enclosed EUP

In many companies there are already qualified technicians who can install the sensor technology itself. Since it is always an intervention in an electrical installation, but this person should have at least the certificate "Electrical Trained Person" (ETP). To generate relevant data, it is of course important that when you first install a proper allocation of sensor ID is carried to the circuit and the metering order is respected. For this operation, we provide a telephone support, the advisory supports your technicians during installation and the assignment transfers directly into our system.

Step 2 API configuration

From data to informations

After completing installation of the measuring technology, the sensors transmit continuously digital data to our processing center. The data are stored under your specific customer profile. These data are purely raw data without information content.

In order to generate useful information from the raw data, the API (Application Programming Interface) is needed. In the APIthe individual data from the sensors are combined with additional information. So each record is assigned a definition to which sensor it belongs, which circuit is measured, what kind of connection and what calculation formulas should be used.

The API configuration is the decisive step to generate accurate information from the measured data.

API configuration

Connect reference data and generate information added value

The consumption data obtained through the API to give a good overview of your energy consumption. Our standard link with the site-specific temperature data from online meteorological services show for example: Errors in the climate control. True information added value you get when you put more data with the measured data in comparison. The connection to the API we can do in cooperation with your system administrator.

Classical data for integration:

  • Visitor data based on access control
  • Warm water consumption
  • Area frequentation
  • Measuring sensors from other manufacturers

Step 3 User portal configuration

Representing data visually and creating relevant results

In the basic Mavacon supplies you a clear evaluation portal that you can always reach online. The evaluation portal includes all standard reports and provides you with a weekly report by email. The preconfigured alarm feature lets you know immediately about disturbances in the measurement data acquisition.

Adjust visual evaluation of its own corporate structure?

Mavacon is highly scale- and adaptable. Our separation of API and visualization is a completely personalized display and makes the data possible to use.

  • Departmental reports in freely selectable intervals
  • Use the measurement results as event trigger in the building automation
  • Integrate data into existing visualization systems (eg. zenOn, XAMControl, Evon, etc)

Our Mavacon specialists analyze your specific needs in a workshop and clarify your personal needs. On this basis we create a detailed offer for implementation.
